Features in December: Reinhardt, Leibowitz, Gailey + ISFDB archives

Art by Bill RutherfoordSo here we are, almost to the end of 2016, and our last pieces of featured fiction and poetry for the year are available now for everybody to read.

In Chris Reinhardt’s first published story, “Fade to Glass,” we get a charming combination of the comical and mystical, as a hapless soul’s strange condition attracts cult worship and government experiments.

Accomplished poets Sandi Leibowitz and Jeannine Hall Gailey, whose many contributions go back to our days as a print zine, grace our digital pages once more. Leibowitz’s “Im Wald” imagines an ominous rescue in fairy tale-haunted woods, while Gailey’s “Introduction to Electromagnetics” examines the psychology of attraction and repulsion.

Our January/February/March 2017 issue is already waiting in the wings, with new cover art from Paula Arwen Owen, stories by Darcie Little Badger, Patricia Russo, and Morris Tanafon, and poems by Beth Cato, Lynn Hardaker, Olchar E. Lindsann, Sonya Taaffe, and Jane Yolen. Don’t miss out! Subscribe here at the Mythic Delirium Books website. Subscriptions are also available at Weightless Books.

Here’s a quirky thing to end with, a bit of a compulsive project I’ve been meaning to tackle for a long time: the bibliographies of Mythic Delirium print and digital back issues—and Mythic Delirium Books in general—at the Internet Science Fiction Database had for years been woefully incomplete. I’m pleased to say this is no longer the case. If you’re the type for whom such things matter, I hope you’ll give these listing a peruse. If not, they’ll still be there if you ever need them.
