I’ve been meaning to share this one for a while.   The Banjo Apocalypse Crinoline Troubadours consist of C.S.E. Cooney, Amal El-Mohtar, Caitlyn Paxson (and sometimes Patty Templeton and/or Nicole Kornher-Stace) — all of whom have been contributors to Mythic Delirium and some to Clockwork Phoenix as well.   The Troubadours put on a performance in January and posted many videos from said performance to YouTube. I’m very proud to announce that two stories from the Clockwork Phoenix series will be included in a major new anthology, The Mammoth Book of SF by Women, edited by Alex Dally MacFarlane and due out later this year.   The stories Alex chose:   • “On the Leitmotif of the Trickster Constellation in Northern Hemispheric Star Charts, Post-Apocalypse” by Nicole Kornher-Stace from Clockwork Phoenix 4   • “Tomorrow Is Saint Valentine’s Day” by Tori Truslow from Clockwork Phoenix 3

Anita and I will be on all kinds of panels and workshops at the upcoming MystiCon convention right here in Roanoke. I’ll be reading from my novel The Black Fire Concerto and Anita and I together will be talking about Clockwork Phoenix and anthologies in general, and Anita, it seems, will be sharing her costuming know-how just about everywhere.
